What helps me help you faster
If something has gone wrong, tell me what you were doing, what happened instead, your iPhone model and iOS version, and the email address on your account. A screenshot is worth several paragraphs.
Subscriptions and billing
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Days and Tales → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date or Apple will charge for the next period.
I cannot cancel it for you. Apple handles all App Store subscriptions and does not give developers that control.
I paid but the app still says I haven’t
Open the app, go to More → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase — this catches almost every case, especially on a new phone.
If it still won’t unlock, email me the date of purchase and the Apple receipt and I will sort it.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. I have no power to issue one. If the app failed you, tell me anyway — I would rather fix it, and I am happy to support your case with Apple.
I deleted my account — why am I still being charged?
Because they are separate systems. Deleting your account removes your data; cancelling the subscription stops the money. You have to do both, and the cancellation happens in Settings as described above.
Your family’s memories
Can my partner or my mum see the journal?
Yes. Invite them from the family settings and choose what they can do. A second parent can add memories; a grandparent can be given view-only access. Nobody sees anything until you invite them, and you can remove someone at any time.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Nothing. Your journal is stored on the server, not only on the device. Sign in on a new phone and it is all there.
Can I get my memories out?
Yes — email me and I will send you an export of everything on your account. It is your family’s life; you should never feel locked in.
Is my child’s photograph used for the illustrated characters?
No. Photographs are never sent to an image-generation service or any other third party. The characters are built from the choices you make on a menu.
Voice notes
The transcription got a word wrong
Tap the entry and edit it — the text is yours to correct, and the corrected version is what the weekly story uses.
Can I use the app without recording audio?
Entirely. Type your memories instead and nothing is ever sent for transcription. Every feature works the same way.
Privacy and your data
What is collected and who it is shared with is set out in the Privacy Policy. To see a copy of your data, correct it, or delete everything, email me or use Delete your account.
Something feels wrong about the app
If the app says something about your child that feels off, or a story page contains something you did not write, please tell me. The stories are built only from your own entries and a page is not supposed to be able to contain anything else. If one does, that is a bug I want to know about today, not in a review.
